1) What was your creative collaboration on the event or installation you worked on?

I have worked with Conceptual Reality on several occasions and for many events, but my favorite collaboration we did was for the Mad Hatter Tea Party Pop-up Experience. I helped craft a pair of very large golden chandeliers encircled in spoons and dripping in a mix of classic floral tea cups and pots as well as a few painted in neon colors.

2) As an artist and/or creative, what do you consider your forte in the work you do?

As a maker and as a creative you come across a lot of problem solving; I feel my strengths lie in coming up with solutions to these problems, especially those involving physical materials. I come from a science background, so I am a big fan of making samples and testing different materials to solve problems, but I can also be quick and problem-solve on the fly. There's nothing like some hot glue for a quick fix :)

3)How long have you considered yourself a professional artist?

I don't know if I have or ever will consider myself an "artist" but I do consider myself a maker, and I am very happy with that title if I were to pick one.

4) What is your hope for the future?

One of my hopes is that I never stop making. I always want to be "up to something" whether it's just for me or for others.

5)What are you working on now?

Currently I've been getting down with some embroidery. My grandmother taught me when I was young, and it's always been very relaxing for me. I'm trying to scale up, so I'm working on a big piece for a bedspread that has giant kelp on it.
