If you could make infinity a theme it would be represented by the Hourglass makeup launch we executed at the famous Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood. Working with Hourglass was an exciting dive into visual illusions.
The hero piece of the event was an infinity mirror box inspired by the artist Yayoi Kusama. We worked with fabrication experts 11th Street workshop to create this amazing piece that was a unique play on making the product look absolutely endless.
The venue was actually quite small and only hosted about 200 select influencers for a private makeup consultation. The boutique brand wanted to make the photo installations look opulent to match the glamour of the venue, while having enough room in the floor plan for guests to mingle. Because the actual product was a "vanishing" style foundation stick, we were limited to the nude color palette. We ended up all loving the way the nudes worked with the antique redwood moldings, floor and yellow tufted wall treatments.
